June 19, 2004. Cruise Lottery, In our first year of fundraising for the Richmond Rapids Swim Club we opted to try out the Raffle for an Alaskan Cruise. While we put in a lot of effort to run a silent auction and various other fundraising activities, the Cruise Lottery required some phone work but was relatively painless in comparison. The tickets all sold and some people have heard of the lottery through other avenues (i.e. school or other sports groups) We would like to try and run 2 raffles thought our next season and time it into the season a little better than we had in our first raffle.
