Terms & Conditions

1. CruiseLottery will provide the raffle tickets, which will consist of 250 - 325 numbered tickets to be sold at $20 per ticket. There will be one grand prize winner per license. The tickets will have the name, address and telephone number of the licensee; the gaming event license number; the location, date and time of the draw. The winner will receive a 7-day cruise for 2 people on a Holland America Cruise Ship in an outside stateroom, minimum category, obstructed view or similar.

2. The winner will have their choice between the following destinations: Alaska, Mexico and the Caribbean and must pick one of the eligible sailings as listed in our "Cruise Prizes" web site page. If they choose to use a different sailing, or a cruise line other than Holland America, a $2000 CAD credit will be put towards the posted retail cost of a cruise for 2 people. The winner has up to 12 months from the draw date to go on their cruise. If they choose the $2000 credit, this amount cannot be combined with any other promotion including the benefits of being a CruisePlus Reward member.

3. The charity will make an honest effort to sell all 250/325 tickets, and give accurate sales counts to CruiseLottery when requested.

4. If your organization sells 75 tickets or less, $1500 payment is due to CruiseLottery. If your organization sells 76 - 125 tickets, CruiseLottery will receive $20 per ticket sold. Your organization keeps any money earned after the first 125 tickets have been sold. For instance, your group sells 220 tickets; you earn $1900 (95 tickets * $20 = $1900)

5. The charity will handle the receipts from the raffle and follow the rules of reporting in accordance with provincial or state gaming license requirements.

6. The charity agrees to pay CruiseLottery for the cruise within 21 days after the draw date. If the charity does not pay CruiseLottery the amount owing as set out in conditions 3 and 4 above, the prize will not be provided by CruiseLottery. The charity may not purchase the prize from any other agency or direct from Holland America or any other cruise line. CruiseLottery will provide the winner with a one time credit of up to $2000 towards the retail cost of most other cruises, if they decide not to choose one of the pre-selected Holland America cruises.

7. CruiseLottery will not provide an optional cash buy out for the winner. The winner must provide CruiseLottery with the passenger names, addresses, and phone numbers at the time of booking for the sailing won. Any changes after this date may be subject to change fees and may not be permitted by the cruise line.

8. The stateroom type will be an outside stateroom, minimum category, obstructed view or similar, as chosen by CruiseLottery or Holland America or the applicable cruise line (see list on "Cruise Prizes" page) and will be for two passengers with at least one of the passengers being of legal age to bring the second passenger based on the cruise lines boarding rules. Both passengers must be legally allowed and have the appropriate identification, passport, to enter and leave Canada and the United States or any country on the cruise itinerary. Port charges and taxes are included in the prize. Airfare and transportation to all ports are not included in the prize. If the winner chooses to upgrade to a different sailing or higher category cabin they are responsible to pay the difference in price.

9. On each entry ticket, purchasers will be asked if they wish to receive further correspondence from CruiseLottery for other cruise and travel specials. There are no sign up fees or obligations for anyone to sign up, except they must agree to accept our email updates.

10.  If the cruise raffle is successful and the charity fulfilled its obligations and sold all the tickets, the charity will receive first right of refusal for future destination cruise or travel draws.

11.  Winners will have their cruise coordinated by CruiseLottery. Airfare, gratuities, fuel supplement (if re-instated by the cruise lines), optional insurance, tours, upgrades, on board spending, transfers or transportation to or from the ship are not included in the prize.

12.  Each charities name and contact information will be listed on the CruiseLottery web site.
